Job Title: Patent Administrator
Large, Central New Jersey corporation is currently seeking a patent administrator to carry out all foreign filing and PCT national phase filings for its 50 attorney patent department. Your responsibilities will include letter generation, creation of documents, legalizations, etc. You will act as systems administrator for computerized patent, guidelines and agreement system which includes training of attorneys and staff as well as patent liaisons in the use of the system; setting up of id/passwords; generating special reports, handling on-line inquiries and maintaining the system. You will also be responsible for supervising several direct reports. You will also coordinate special projects under the direction of a supervisor, coordinate transfer of cases from one attorney to another and to outside counsel. Furthermore, as domestic organizational restructuring occurs, you will prepare mass reassignment documents for signature by attorneys and submission to US Patent Office. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the patent field, including experience with patent filing, prosecution and docketing. Position requires ability to communicate with all levels of company management, and attorneys, outside counsel and agents. College degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent type education is required.
