BIOGRAPHY:
Donovan Bezer is an associate with the Firm. A graduate of Rutgers University, School of Law, he practices primarily in the area of Civil Litigation. He has published numerous legal articles in the area of construction litigation, telecommunications/Internet law, and affordable housing policy.
Mr. Bezer is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Hudson Inn of Court. In 2009, Mr. Bezer won a national ABA writing contest for his article entitled, “The Inadequacy of Surety Bid Bonds in Public Construction Contracting (A Legal/Economic Perspective).”
On behalf of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, Donovan Bezer has served as a high school mock trial judge, and lectured middle school students about the practice of law. Mr. Bezer is on the Board of Trustees of Art House Productions, Inc., a nonprofit arts collective in Jersey City, and is a former Chair of the Government Liaison Committee of the Friends of Van Vorst Park in Jersey City. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of Partners in Prevention, a nonprofit organization in Hudson County, New Jersey. Mr. Bezer served as Counsel to the 2009 reelection campaign of Jersey City Councilman Steven Fulop.
Donovan Bezer is an active marathoner and triathlete, and is training to climb Mount McKinley, the highest peak in North America.
