BIOGRAPHY:
Dennis C. Linken, as partner in the Firm, concentrates his practice in communications regulatory law, with clients in the cable television, telephone, and cellular telephone industries. He handles numerous public utility matters and has also practiced in the field of energy law. He routinely appears before the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and municipalities throughout the State.

Mr. Linken is outside counsel to major national communications companies and has been centrally involved in the acquisition and disposition of communications companies and significant financing transactions. He is extensively involved with regulatory activities and regularly handles regulatory licensing matters, franchise renewals, multi-billion dollar transfers of regulatory licenses as well as regulatory approval, agency rule-making and related proceedings.

In addition to his practice before the Board of Public Utilities and municipalities, Mr. Linken appears before other New Jersey administrative and regulatory agencies and in state and federal courts. He has negotiated successful settlements in major compliance investigations and enforcement actions, and has made law in a landmark case before the Superior Court of New Jersey, establishing mandatory access rights.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Assistant Deputy Public Advocate in the Division of Rate Counsel of the New Jersey Office of the Public Advocate, where he represented the public interest in utility and cable television rate proceedings. Mr. Linken has also served as Deputy Director of the Office of Cable Television where he acted as chief administrator of the agency and liaison to the Federal Communications Commission.


A graduate of Temple University (B.B.A., 1970) and Rutgers University School of Law (Newark) (J.D., 1973), Mr. Linken was listed in the inaugural edition of Who's Who in Cable Communications, Who's Who in New Jersey, Who's Who Registry of Global Business Leaders and Who's Who in American Law. He was a member of The Forum at the Museum of Television and Radio, a group of nationally recognized executives from broadcast and related fields.
