BIOGRAPHY:
John J. Rizzo, has represented public and private companies of all sizes and assisted them with their corporate transactional and litigation needs. Primarily practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and transactional law, Mr. Rizzo provides general business advice, manages commercial transactions relating to the acquisition and disposition of businesses and handles disputes in all areas, including contractual disputes, partnership disputes, shareholder derivative suits and defense of class actions. Mr. Rizzo has particular knowledge regarding transactional negotiations and litigation involving the equine industry.

Mr. Rizzo has been involved in negotiation, drafting and dispute resolution concerning employment contracts, restrictive covenants and employment discrimination matters. He also provides general employment advice and has negotiated drafts of collective bargaining agreements and employment contracts.

Additionally, Mr. Rizzo, a graduate of Syracuse University (A.B., 1969 and J.D., 1972), has handled insurance coverage analysis & litigation, real estate disputes regarding the purchase and sale of property, and Intellectual property litigation including trade secrets, ownership of patents and copyright infringement.
